We'll base our operations out of Ridgeway, Colorado and spend 2 days shooting around the quaint mountain towns of Ouray, Silverton and Telluride.  This is a mountain landscape photographer's paradise.  There will likely be snow on the 14,000' peaks of the San Juans, bugling elk, and plenty of color.  I've been exploring this area since I participated in the Telluride Annual Invitational Hang Gliding Meet in the mid 1970's!  No place else in North America offers the stunning, iridescent fall colors of the turning Aspen against the rugged beauty of the San Juan Mountains.

 

I provide Photoshop sessions each day where we will process your images and send you home with the files you need to do professional printing.  Or, I can do the printing for you after your departure, have the prints mounted by DuraPlaq and ship them to you.

 

We will work at a pace that is comfortable for everyone.  I will provide comfortable 4 wheel drive transportation from your lodging in town to the photo tour location.

 

What you will need:

• A digital SLR camera and its owner’s manual
• The physical ability to hike at least 20 minutes carrying your gear
• A tripod
• High Altitude-appropriate clothing and sunscreen
• A small flashlight or headlamp

 

The cost of this photo tour is $1050 per person with a maximum of 6 people. Lodging IS INCLUDED, meals are not.  Non-refundable 50% deposit due with registration.  Balance due 30 days prior to workshop.  No refunds after 30 days prior to the workshop.  Cancellation due to weather is entirely my decision.  Remember, many of the best photographs happen in changing or inclement weather.
